SHIMANO R7 Winning Boater Report.

Myself and Paul found ourselves fishing various pontoons , rocky points, boat hulls and pylons to put together a respectable bag on Sunday.
We did not get a lot of bites but when we did it was mostly fish between the 600-700 gram size , and our last fish of the day which we got with 15 minutes to go.
Tackle used was 4lb FC rock leaders and 6lb amigo braid rigged with 1/20th TT jigheads this did the damage and go to lures being squidgy bloodworm wrigglers in 100mm and Ecogear VX 40 blades.
The fish were so shutdown that bites came while dead sticking the lure either also while sinking or sitting on the bottom most fish would just sit on the lure and not move.
We did a lot of running around to find our fish, we managed to fit in at least 15 spots within our time frame.

Just keeping this short and sweet, once again thanks to all competitors for turning up , Ian Phillips and the crew for their hard work on another great comp.

cheers everyone, Micheal
