| When : The weekend after the 2nd Wednesday of the MonthWhere: St Georges Basin, NSW or other away locations mentioned in the club calendar.The weekend after the 2nd Wednesday of the Month BLF members fish St Georges Basin or a nominated away location.Points are awarded for each of the anglers best of the following legal fish: Three Bream, Three Flathead and One of every other eligible species, provided fish are witnessed by another member or photographed.
For more information on the monthly fishing competitionPhone Jim Barrie 0409275434 Email Jim at: basinlureandfly@yahoo.com.au RULES & REGULATIONS All fishing and boating is conducted at the members own risk and is done so in a manner that meets all NSW Fisheries and Waterways Authority guidelines and regulations. To be eligible for points, all fish must be released in a healthy condition as quickly as practicable following capture. All anglers wishing to nominate their catch for the point score must complete a BLF catch data card and return it to the weighmaster at or before 12.00pm on the Sunday of each competition weekend. Fishing times will be from 12.00am Saturday to Sunday 12.00pm. When we all enjoy a free BBQ. All fish caught must be measured for length, recorded on the catch card and witnessed by another member, or photographed on a recognised measuring device prior to release. Junior members must be able to read a ruler to be deemed a witness. All photos must be presented to weighmaster when catchcard is handed in to be eligible for points. Only fish of legal length will be eligible for point scoring. All fish are measured to the END OF THE TAIL. All fish of any species caught is to be recorded on the catch data card. The best three bream and Flathead are eligible and only one of every other species nominated in the eligible species list Fish must be landed by the angler will be awarded points equal to 1 point per millimetre of fish. 10 bonus points will be awarded to each angler for each day of fishing during the competition. Members are eligible to compete in Sub Juniors – up to and including aged 9 at the conclusion of the angling year, Juniors – Up to and including the age of 16 at the conclusion of the angling year, Open section and Ladies section. Only Species listed below are eligible for point scoring. Should a new species of popular table fish become common in St Georges Basin and other Shoalhaven waterways the Committee will make a determination to add this species to the list at any time during the angling year. SPECIES
Anglers may fish with one (1) hand held rod with lure or fly only. The use of berley is prohibited though, as many soft plastic lures are pre scented, the use of scent placed directly on the lure or fly is permitted. BIGGEST OF SPECIESThe awards for the biggest Bream and the Biggest Flathead captured and released during the angling year is available to all fish caught at any time during the angling year in St Georges Basin or its tributaries. The fish must be measured for length, recorded on a catch card and witnessed by another member, or photographed on a recognised measuring device prior to release. The catch card must be presented to the weighmaster at the next club Information night to qualify for the biggest species award.
